Studia Turkologica is an online scientific journal dedicated to the comprehensive study of the history of the Turkic peoples. The publication focuses on the publication of original research on the ancient, medieval, modern and modern history of the Turkic peoples, their statehood, socio-political institutions, culture, religion, written heritage, historical memory and intercultural relations.
The journal pays special attention to the history of the Turkic peoples in their composition and interaction with the Russian and Eurasian space: the Volga region and the Urals, Siberia, Crimea, the Caucasus, Central Asia, and neighboring regions. The publication focuses on issues of ethnogenesis, the formation of state formations, the transformation of traditional societies, interethnic and interfaith relations, diplomacy, trade, migration and cultural exchange.
The journal publishes articles based on a wide range of sources: written monuments, archival materials, archaeological data, epigraphic and numismatic sources, ethnographic materials, as well as historiographical and comparative historical research. Priority is given to works that are characterized by scientific novelty, source validity, methodological rigor and relevance to modern historical Turkology.
Domestic and foreign researchers working in the field of the history of the Turkic peoples, Oriental studies, archeology, ethnology, source studies, historiography, religious studies, cultural studies and related humanities are invited to publish.
Studia Turkologica strives to become a platform for professional scientific dialogue that promotes the development of research on the history of the Turkic peoples of Russia and Eurasia, the preservation of historical and cultural heritage and the strengthening of international academic cooperation.
